What a company page shows
Facts about the company, as the official register publishes them: its name, company number, registered office and line of business, and each insolvency notice with its date and a link to the official record. The sources are corporate insolvency notices in The Gazette (UK), insolvency judgments about companies in the BODACC (France) and bankruptcies and suspensions of payments of legal entities in the Centraal Insolventieregister (Netherlands).
A page carries the names of no directors, owners, insolvency practitioners or other individuals, and no contact details. We cover companies only: personal insolvency and sole traders are outside the site. The pages exist to inform a company's creditors and trading partners, which is the purpose the registers themselves serve.
Ask for a correction
Email [email protected] with the company number and what differs from the register, ideally with a link to the official notice. We check the page against the live register and reply within 7 days. When the register says something different from our page, we correct the page.
When an official record adds context, such as a curator's report on a Dutch bankruptcy or a Gazette notice about the re-use of a company name, we show it as the record states it. A page that matches the register stays as it is, because the register is what creditors rely on.
When a page changes or leaves the site
- The Gazette (UK) and the BODACC (France): the page follows the register. If the register corrects or withdraws a notice, we update our page to match.
- Netherlands: a case leaves the Centraal Insolventieregister six months after the procedure ends. Our copy is deleted at the same time, as the register's licence requires, and the company page goes once no case is left.
Personal data
If a page shows a person, for example a sole trader the register filed as a company, tell us and we remove it straight away. For the personal data we hold about customers and how to use your rights, see the privacy policy. You can also complain to a data protection authority: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands, where we are established, or the authority where you live, such as the CNIL in France or the ICO in the UK.
