Who is responsible
InsolvencyRadar is operated by TW Works, a sole trader registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 99463547 (VAT ID NL005388590B47). We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
The public record we publish
Company pages are built from corporate insolvency notices in The Gazette, published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We store only company facts: name, Companies House number, registered office, nature of business, the notice type and date, and a link to the official notice. We do not store or publish the names of directors, insolvency practitioners or other individuals that appear in notices, and we do not cover personal insolvency.
What we collect from customers, and why
- Email address, to send your API key, dashboard sign-in links, alerts and messages about your plan (performing the contract).
- A hash of your API key, to recognise your requests. We never store the key itself.
- Your watchlist: company numbers and the optional labels you give them, to send alerts (performing the contract).
- Webhook URL, if you give one, to deliver alerts to your systems.
- Plan, credits and usage counts, to apply your plan.
- Payment details are handled by Stripe. We receive your email, the plan you bought and a Stripe customer reference, never your card number.
Visitors
Reading the site requires no account. We set only the cookies the site needs to work (a session cookie and a security token). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our servers keep technical request logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting; these are kept for a short period and not used to profile anyone.
Who processes data for us
- Hetzner Online (Germany): hosting.
- Cloudflare: network delivery and security, and sending alert and key emails.
- Backblaze (EU region): encrypted database backups.
- Stripe: payments.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in. Google tells us your email address and that it has verified it; we use that to find your account and store nothing else from Google.
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
Customer data is kept while you have an account. You can delete your account at any time under Settings in your dashboard, which erases your account details, watchlist, alerts and API key at once and cancels any subscription; or ask us to. Records we must keep for tax purposes, which Dutch law requires for seven years, are kept by Stripe and in our bookkeeping. Deleted data leaves our backups within seven days, as they roll over.
Your rights
Under Settings in your dashboard you can download a copy of your data, change your email address and delete your account yourself. You can also ask us for access to, correction of, deletion of or a copy of your personal data, or object to or restrict its processing, by emailing [email protected]. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we update this page and the date at the top. Customers are told by email about material changes.
